Ivory Anniversary.

I was recently commissioned  to make
a 14th Wedding Anniversary card.
Having looked  it up on the web I found
the symbol was Ivory.
The design paper is hand made using word to create
lines of text which included 14th and Ivory.
The lattice die is by Tonic and the heart shapes
came from my blogging buddy Di.
Pearls were in my stash.
Sentiment is a Woodware stamp.

The flower has been die cut from an empty drinks can
using Spellbinders 'Rose Creations' Die.
I used a sewing needle to create the veins on the leaves.

Back To School.

We have a new challenge for you this week
The Sponsor is
As always the challenge is Anything goes.
Please pop over and see what my
team mates have created  just for you.
You have a week to enter and we
would be delighted to see you .
I have chosen this digi called
'Shes so Colourful'
and coloured her with my Promarker pens.

Backing papers are by Jennifer Ellory
and the note pad paper and sentiment
'Back to School' were free in
Making Cards magazine.
I made an easel card shape from a card blank
and covered with the design paper inside and out.
Adhered a further piece of card to the front and matted
with purple card from stash.
I then added a further layer at an angle and attached
my image which I fussy cut after colouring in.
Sentiment was raised up on sticky pads to make the stop
for the easel card.
Pearls from my stash.
Here is a close up of the image.

Gifts

Time once again for the girls in
the Christmas Card club to show
their creations.
It was the turn of Zoe to set the theme
and her choice was Gifts.
This sent me scuttling  back off again
to my box of  used Christmas card fronts as I knew
that I had at least one suitable card in there .
Actually I found 2 and as they were
completely different styles decided to go
for it again and make them both up.

1st off is the Traditional one.

The old card had so much on it that it didn't
need me to do much to it.
I used a cream card blank and adhered a
Design Paper by Kaisercraft
(in rolled gold leafy swirl pattern)
to it, then simply trimmed the card front down
and for neatness (also so that  you can still see a bit of the
paper showing) rounded two of the corners
using my Xcut chomper tool.
I added a piece of gold ric rac braid down the
card fold side and Bob's your Uncle  a done deal!

My 2nd card is a Whimsical one.
The card front appealed to my sense of humour.
I think it had been sent to one of the kids a long
time ago and I just kept it in the maybe one day pile.
Well today is the day!
I made a tent card shape as it lent itself to the card
being an oblong,
I first stuck the card to a piece of white card stock
to make it more sturdy and then distressed the edges
with my handy distressing tool from TH.
I then adhered this to green card stock and in turn
to a sheet of red cardstock folding and sticking edges together
as shown below to make the tent fold shape.
I used platinum Stickles on the branches,
tree and snow on house to add a bit of sparkle.
Sentiment was a gold peel off sticker and pearls/bow
from my stash.

So which one do you like the most ?
Traditional or Whimsical.

Smile!

I made this little robot at a recent workshop
run by Jane Gill at The Craft Barn.
He is made from Shrink plastic and
a design drawn by Jane.

Sweet Cheeks has been collecting
the school vouchers run by a super market chain and
The Doc has been amassing some for him too.
Sweet cheeks also likes to receive post addressed
to him personally so I made this card for him
using the little robot and popped the vouchers inside.
Design papers were from my stash of freebies
and the sentiment is by Woodware.

Patchwork Doily.

It's a new challenge over at
my Butterfly challenge with the theme of

The starting point for this card was
the backing  which is actually the inside cover
from a Mother's Day Card which I had
received and was about to stash away
as I had thought it too pretty to discard.
Light bulb moment!
Would be  perfect for this challenge.

The patchwork design just lent itself to having some
stitching added both down the side of the card and
on the doily.
Butterflies were cut  from scraps of red card and gems
from my stash along with the pink crochet thread.
Doily is a shop bought one from my stash.
Sentiment is by Wow stamps.
The faux patchwork and the real stitching
I think work well together.

which  was  Pale pink, Charcoal and Dark pink.
I decided on another new card shape

and sent to Vicki in Australia.
I used the excellent instructions
I found on You Tube

Jagged Edges 2.

Internet back on for the first time in 2 days!
My ipad also spectacularly crashed (totally unrelated)
but non the less left me a complete gibbering wreck
for the time it took my IT specialist to fix and
to restore calm and order to my
already frayed nerves.
I'm consuming large and varied glasses
of the hard stuff.
Internet is still not fixed and
now into lengthy talks with them
with no immediate end in sight.

So before I loose it completely
It's the 2nd week of my Butterfly challenge
Here is the card I have made for your inspiration.
Design papers are from the 'Botanical Collection'
by Prima in two colourways.

Butterfly made from a scrap of spotty paper in my stash.
Sentiment is by Wow
and the butterfly die  by Quick Kutz.
Doodled a jagged line around the edge to finish.

3 Villiages.

Internet still playing up so I'm running late.
Latest news is that they are still working on it!!

Time once again for the girls in
the Christmas Card club to show
their creations.
It was the turn of Rita to set the theme
and her choice was Village Scene.
This sent me scuttling off to my
box of  used Christmas cards as I knew
that I had several card fronts
that would be suitable to use.
I found 3 with village scenes but as I
couldn't decide which to use
(and my pile of Christmas cards is a bit low)

I give you 3  very  different villages.
You choose!!

The first village scene I'm calling Modern.

I made a sort of envelope style opening for the card base
which I have held closed using Faux buttons
and bakers twine.

Blue  pearlescent card stock, Anita's sentiment
and the silver edging were from my stash.
Buttons made using  Joy Crafts die cut.

My second Scene I'm calling  Traditional
and is a Tent fold shape .

I cut the scene up into 3 oblongs and then
adhered to a red backing card leaving a small gap
between each panel which I think gives the
appearance of looking through a window.
I used gold pearlescent card to make the card shape.
Bow and pearls from my stash along with the
gold sentiment sticker.

Entering into the following challenges:

Jo's Scrapshack #87 Anything goes.

And Lastly my Medieval Scene.
I have had this card in my box for yrs and yrs
Many more than I care to remember.
Waiting and waiting for the right moment.
The scene is actually only half of the card.
I still have the other half saved !!
I have used yellow pearlescent card for the front
and used my Spellbinder Labels twenty-eight
to die cut the window frame from the centre.
As the picture was a tad short, I cut the discarded
insert down and used to create the base
for the sentiment thus covering up the slight
gap left at the bottom.
Black pearls was all I felt  was needed
to complete the card.

Pointillist Colouring

Our lack of Internet still persists.
We thought it had been fixed as we
had 2 days of continuous usage
but it was obviously  not to be.
So the saga continues with the
Service provider telling us no fault found!!
I am slowly going round the twist with it all and
finding it so frustrating to manage any blogging
with the limited time a reboot  gives before
the green light flashes orange and disconnects.
I have a connection at the moment
 so typing like the clappers.

I was invited by Crafting Musketeers
to be their GDT for May
and this is one of the cards that I made.
The Theme for the challenge is to
Use a Die cut on your project.

I recently went to a class  to learn colouring
The Pointillist Way (using lots of dots)
which was run by Jane Gill at
I fell in love with the technique
and came home  and mediately
made a few more cards  in the same style.

I used a Woodware  Stamp  'Amaryllis'
for my image and coloured in with
promarkers in 3 shades of pink and a grey.
Die cut is Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Eight.
Pink and grey toning cardstock  from stash.
Distress ink used round edge of  image.

Sentiment is also by Woodware.
Card shape is a tent fold  with a further flap at the base.
Ribbon and pearls from stash.
